After using 16 different #DEFI protocols/Dapps within the pasts week, I thought it would be a good idea to share a few of my favorites. As someone who had never gotten involved in the space, it was a great experience to understand truly how important the #DEFI space will be.
Below will be a series of tweets explaining what I liked about each one.The list includes:
1. Furucombo ( @furucombo)
2. Paraswap ( @paraswap)
3. Polymarket ( @PolymarketHQ)
4. Defisaver ( @DefiSaver)
5. Metamask ( @metamask_io)
Honorable Mention: Dydx ( @dydxprotocol)
1. Furucombo ( @furucombo)
I was really impressed by the simplicity of furucombo in that it showcases the world of defi all in one easy to use interface.
For a first time defi user, the explore tab in furucombo allows the user to know exactly what they're doing and within what other protocols they'll be interacting with.
For a more advanced user, the building block system is one of the coolest things I've seen in defi as it can merge multiple tasks together.
2. Paraswap ( @paraswap)
In my list of 16, there were many swap apps that I used. Paraswap had to be my favorite as there are no actual site fees (other than $ETH gas), and the ability to swap and transfer in one, rather than deposit-->swap-->withdrawal.
3. Polymarket ( @PolymarketHQ)
Polymarket has such an easy to use interface allowing users to bet on different unique scenarios within minutes. All it took was a $USDC deposit, an eight minute confirmation time, and I was ready to go.
Also, as I accidentally sent $ETH to the deposit address instead of $USDC, I was impressed with the response time of the support staff in helping me get my $ETH back. They answered my ticket within an hour on Christmas day.
4. Defisaver ( @DefiSaver)
I've used this one on multiple wallets before and feel as though I will keep using for a long time. The ability to open CDP's and have them automatically managed or "saved" if why I love defisaver so much.
It makes the borrowing process really simple and attempts to take some of the worry out of borrowing.
5. Metamask ( @metamask_io)
Metamask if the more obvious choice for a list like this so I couldn't leave it off. If I had to choose out of these 16 which I hope to drop a token the most, Metamask would be it.
There are tons of active users, the ability to create multiple wallets in seconds, and the newly added swap feature right within the wallet itself. If I was going to keep trying for airdrops, I would probably just make multiple metamask wallets and swapping within them.
Honorable Mention: Dydx ( @dydxprotocol)
I used dydx a long time ago to trade and was pretty impressed with the platform. The only issues I have right now, and the reason I wouldn't put it on my list is because of the insanely high trading fees for small accounts.
The good news is that this should be getting fixed very soon. Their work with @starkwareltd on moving to L2 would completely turn the platform around for me, and could even be my top choice for an exchange.
