It’s absolutely fair and it makes sense based on how they wrote it — though they certainly knew that *smaller* teams would have more COVID trouble early — but FFS let’s talk about how the veneer of these competitions isn’t holding up.

Like we all know it’s ridiculous that the pyramid is what it is and we desperately need to redistribute the wealth rather than continuously being aghast every time a wealthy side benefits or is harmed in some way in these competitions. They’re a lottery.

Football at all levels should not be a lottery; it’s a cultural component of almost every area in England equal to any level of arts or other outlet and it should be treated as such.
