to solve the coronavirus crisis, it’s time to pay GPs more

okay it’s hard to think of a *less* popular healthcare policy, but it’s still true

the £12.50 per person they are paid is just not enough to get in extra staff and vaccinate the vulnerable 7 days a week

that £12.50 payment per person means the government is only paying £250 to prevent one care home resident from dying of coronavirus

we can afford more than £250 to save lives and protect our NHS from being overwhelmed

the government can easily afford to pay GPs £125 to vaccinate a care home resident and £75 to vaccinate the over 80s, with surgeries open 7 days a week to make this happen

it’s the only way to stop the health care system being overwhelmed and get back to normal soon
