As promised, here's all of the Bayern players (who have played at least 90') RANKED. A [THREAD]

Just to start, I'm grateful to every player who's made this list, idc if their name is David, Bouna, Alvaro or Thomas. If you defend the badge, you have my respect! Here goes...
For people who don't want to read the entire thing, here is my list in all of its wonderful glory. All based on the importance to the team across 2020.

Get at me in the comments if you disagree. I've not taken this list lightly at all🙃
1)Manuel Neuer - May be biased but he's made too many key saves in key moments in key games for him not to be top of this list. Even when Bayern have slacked late 2020, he's been solid!

Quite simply, without Neuer we do NOT win the UCL SF or final!

So in for this renaissance!
2)Robert Lewandowski - The best Bayern player/best player in the world. He's had numbers to rival Messi and Ronaldo in 2020. Won the UEFA/FIFA Best awards.

Unreal performances vs Chelsea, Barcelona, Dortmund among others. Dropoff when he isn't playing is massive.
3)Joshua Kimmich - Another crucial player to the system. Swiss army knife on the field, played RB in the Lisbon games, and has been the very best DM/midfielder in 2020! His absence was so clearly felt late 2020!

Crucial goals vs Schalke, BVB, Barcelona to boot.
4)Thomas Müller - Another comeback, of which there are a few. Müller's 2020 didn't seem like it was at Bayern. Truth is he's been the glue to everything the midfield have conjured with attackers.

Key moments include his brace vs Barca and a key touch for Coman's goal vs PSG
5)Leon Goretzka - Leon wasn't a starter pre lockdown. But injury to Thiago pre UCL, injury to Pavard in Lisbon and then Thiago's departure meant Goretzka was a mainstay, most of the yr

Contributed to goals every 2 games,is the best boxtobox player and also improved his DM game
6)Alphonso Davies - Very much the breakout star of 2020, injury to Süle/Lucas meant a shift for Alaba and hence, Davies to LB.

Not the best positional sense yet, but the pace makes up for it. Fantastic dribbler and improved crossing post lockdown. Oh and ofc, Chelsea and Barca
7)Thiago - We all knew how good he was, but the world saw that in Lisbon After a fantastic start to 2020 and pre lockdown,Thiago was injured in quarantine and hence only returned for the UCL tournament.Robbed off few yrs of Kimmich Thiago in MF! A transfer that will always sting!
8)Serge Gnabry - Despite a poor final 2-3 months, he's had a great 2020! Combine fantastic twofootedness, clinical finishing, a tireless engine and you've got Serge.

Key performances were Lyon, Chelsea and Schalke among others. The winter break will do him good
9)Jerome Boateng - Yet another comeback story, this man shows he's a consummate professional time and again! Alaba and Boa were defensive mainstays in the 19-20 season. His ballplaying is an excellent press breaker like vs Augsburg. And had cracking defensive games vs Dortmund
10)David Alaba -Despite the contract negotiation saga,Alaba is massive to Bayern. Even if you disagree,Flick doesn't. He's a voice in defence. His recovery pace and ballplaying ability set him apart as the 2nd best CB in July. Admittedly there has been a downturn. (why he's 10th)
11)Kingsley Coman - Goes down in history as Mr. Lisbon. Was still the inconsistent/poor final ball player until July. Lisbon has changed him for the better. 20-21 has been his season. A top 4-5 winger this season, he's had staggering games(eg Atleti) and can be relied on finally!
12)Benjamin Pavard - Another man who's had a poor end to 2020, to the pt that Süle is deputising at RB!
Pavard was assured defensively at the start of 2020, had a potent early cross on him and was a threat on set plays! Unfortunately missed most of Lisbon through injury
13)Lucas Hernandez - Unfairly labelled flop and too expensive well into 2020 because of injury. Post Lisbon, exhaustion and injury to Davies meant Lucas had an extended run.

Once again,he was solid when the others around him were not! Made a lot of crucial last ditch challenges.
14)Ivan Perisic - Another crucial pawn to treble success. Always seemed like the perfect pro for a squad to have! Tireless workrate + quality? Not too many better! Started the yr injured but with Coman's injury, Perisic had crucial games vs Barca, Chelsea. Should've re-signed imo
15)Jamal Musiala - Another 2020 success story, Musiala broke out as a LW vs Schalke in the 8-0! Many thought he may be the 4th winger.
But as the season wore on, his close control, dribbling and eye for a pass meant he was used centrally. He's had many game changing performances.
16)Leroy Sané - Bayern's postmature 2020 marquee signing, Sané on the whole has been a bit underwhelming. However he did start the season really promising and seemed like scoring everytime he was a sub! Key goals vs BVB, Salzburg and a banger vs Eintracht! 2021 will be better!
17)Niklas Süle - Only had 19 apps all season owing to injury. Looked shaky vs Lyon but solid in the UCL Final. This season however Süle hasn't exactly kicked on as Bayern have conceded a goal a game this season. He ended the year as a very serviceable RB in a system change!
18)Javi Martinez - He's had under 500mins this yr but he's still a very usable DM in certain games and a player who can help protect a small lead.
Moment of 2020 will always be scoring the winner in the Super Cup vs Sevilla, when everyone thought he's leaving. Another top pro!
19)Corentin Tolisso - He's had only 26 apps all yr cuz of injury. But he's still had his positive games. Looked the real deal in the 3 UCL games which included the goal of the year vs Atleti, following a good international break.
Needs to be alongside Kimmich to be at his best!
20) Philippe Coutinho - Really wanted him to be higher up this list. Another player who's a top pro and left much better than James! Most of his contributions were in 2019 tho. His best performance was Barca where he got 2G1A. Left with a goal contribution every 90'. I miss Phil!
21)Mickael Cuisance - A really promising talent who was composed on the ball, elegant in possession, had an eye for the killer pass and had a long range banger in him. Played a fair few mins post lockdown in the BuLi. However Flick didn't have him in his 20-21 plans.
22)Joshua Zirkzee - Only played 395 mins all year. But was decent in some of those appearances and got two crucial goals when Lewy was rested. Vs Hoffenheim and vs Gladbach. However with Choupo's arrival his mins in 20-21 have been limited. Very much a penalty box player
23)Douglas Costa - Ngl, this is a signing I was very content with (foolishly thinking he could get15-16 levels). Truth is tho,he is very much the 4th winger even if Sané/Gnabry have been underwhelming. Costa always probes and has good ideas tho and can still be important
24)Alvaro Odriozola - Only made 5 appearances all season and he wasn't injured. Just lacked the positional sense and wasn't much better going forward.
Got 1 assist for Lewys header vs Chelsea. He always seemed a bubbly character that could help a dressing room during turmoil!
25)Chris Richards - A huge positive from 2020,in the limited amount of time we've seen him in. Been used at LB, CB and RB!Looked avg at LB vs Salzburg but at RB vs Hertha he beat his man very often, and got an assist for Lewys goal. Expecting more things off him at CB/RB in 2021!
26)Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting - A signing that didn't make much sense when it happened and does not even now!

Has scored 3 goals but hampers Zirkzee/Arp's development! That being said, he seems a great guy to have in the dressing room, who cares about nothing but the team!
27)Marc Roca - Another player of whom a lot was expected, but the truth is he just hasn't had the mins. Flick has played Musiala, Alaba over him at times. Roca is steady in possession, doesn't give the ball away much. The 2 week winter break could help Roca fit into the system!
28)Bouna Sarr - Lot of parallels with Odri here! Likeable guy off the pitch, a bit out of his depth on it(hoping I'm wrong). Wasn't even in the squad in some of the games near the end. On the positive, he was a niggly injury away from a France NT call up!
29)Alexander Nübel - Played 2 games vs Duren and Atletico and conceded a solitary goal. Hasn't been blindingly good or made any sort of rick either. Pretty decent on the ball in the two games and came up with the necessary saves. As long as 🐐 is active, his mins seem numbered :(
30)Sven Ulreich - Only 90mins vs Freiburg to judge him off. Rather than do that, I'm gonna celebrate him. He's always deputised really really well for Neuer and that includes 17-18. Despite the horror show at the Bernabeu, we did NOT miss Neuer during the season👍
Not Ranked: Sarpreet Singh - Got 64 mins vs Freiburg. Just not enough to judge him on, but from what we've seen, he's great technically. Moved to Nuremberg in the summer where he's been a fringe player too :(
Not Ranked: Oliver Batista Meier - The diminutive, winger is tricky off both feet and only had 12mins vs Dusseldorf. Moved to Heerenveen in the Netherlands where he's been a regular bagging a goal and 2 assists
Not Ranked: Leon Dajaku - A player who’s appearances have come vs Düren and Hertha in January. He has 3G1A off the wing with Bayern II. A player with great potential and in the immediate term can be a sub in some of the BuLi games where the big names are rested
Not Ranked: Tanguy Nianzou - Only had 21mins of football vs Stuttgart owing to the injury he suffered when he joined and then the reoccurrence! He is assured on the ball and Bayern looked solid defensively during those 21mins. Much more suited to CB than CDM
Not Ranked: Bright Arrey-Mbi - Played 61mins vs Atletico at LWB! From an attacking standpoint there wasn't much down his side and Joao Felix's goal came down his. But still a very very limited sample size for the youngster to be judged off
Not Ranked: Angelo Stiller - Seems like his last few months with Bayern after not signing a new deal. Bayern seem to be going down the Roca/Tiago Dantas road! Another elegant player on the ball, who has a bright future, maybe not at Bayern!
Not Ranked: Armindo Sieb - His sole appearances came during 26mins vs Duren where he ruptured his cruciate ligament and is in rehab! The promising ST will join the U19s when fit again!
Not Ranked: Jan Fiete Arp - Only got 13 mins vs Duren and with Lewy EMCM and Zirkzee ahead of him in the pecking order, he'll have to settle for another season of 3rd tier Football where he's managed 3G2A
Not Ranked: Daniel Ontuzans - The Latvian made a brief 3min cameo vs Duren as an AM! Shouldn't expect to see him too much in the squad!
End of [THREAD]. One of the best calendar year performances from any team EVER! Made a forgettable year memorable ❤️
