Past few weeks I’ve only reuploaded TikToks to YT shorts.

Why do this? Well, why not? Unless you have an exclusive content contract with a platform you are free to upload content in multiple platforms.

Now some other examples like @MrBeastYT himself having a shorts only dedicated channel and other accounts w/1K subs or less & look at the views

What’s a YT Short?

In first image you can see that Shorts live under videos in the YT App. A carousel gallery preview of some Shorts tied to your account interest or video you are watching. (1st image)

These are vertical (1080x1920) 60 seconds or less videos.

To create a YT Short the upload needs:

Title or Description MUST have ‘ #Shorts’

Create short videos:
Keep under 60 seconds,
Sweet spot seems to be 15-30 seconds

Has to be in vertical (1080x1920)

Watch shorts yourself (seems to help discovery via days I didn’t)

Pros:
Easy Content
TikTokers reuse content
Max exposure
Great way to start on YT

Con:
2 upload limit seems to still apply a day.
No monetization - Yet, so you don’t make $ off shorts but I’d assume YT will release Shorts app and be 1st monetize this type of content.
