I've seen the ongoing online convo about poking fun at those who experienced tears of joy watching the episode I referenced below. When you're passionate about something and it inspires child-like awe, that's special. We all have things that mean so much to us as individuals. https://twitter.com/brentsobleski/status/1340000887486509060
Personally, I love comics books, Star Wars and football. I've been made fun of the first two more times than I can count. Yet I get the same butterflies in my stomach for a big Marvel movie or reading a great comic as I did when I played football long, long ago.
I still get that feeling in the pit of my stomach when I watch games or cover an event.
If you lose that passion, that's truly sad.
Don't make fun of others for what they love. Embrace those things. Encourage them.
It's the little things in life that make you happy.

More importantly, don't give a shit about those who would tear you down because it's not worth your time.
As someone who dealt with depression in my 20s & now works in a profession where negativity is a constant, you can be beat down. It can be deflating.
At same time, anyone willing to put themselves out there should be applauded no matter how big or little their accomplishments.
