I have been reading the “sack Moyes” blather over the last 24 hours. Apparently, a context reminder is in order. There have been 70 EPL managers who have taken charge of more than 100 games. Of those 70:
All time, Moyes is the fourth most experienced manager (earning his clubs 798 points in 560 games), and is the most experienced active manager.
All time, Moyes has the 20th best points per match ratio (1.43). Among active managers, he is behind only Guardiola, Klopp, Mourinho, Ancelotti and Rodgers.
I was confused / displeased with the set up of yesterday’s Brighton game, but…. so what? We’ve got a very solid manager still in the first full year of his tenure (with only the COVID transfer window to his credit). Calm. Down.
