Cor blimey, today’s weird Marvel villains are Knight and Fogg, created by @gerryconway and Sal Buscema in 1990’s Spectacular Spider-Man #165!
Malcolm Knight and his foster brother Thomas Fogg grew up tough on the streets of Liverpool!
Eventually, they became enforcers for a local gangster - but when they put the hit on an indebted scientist, they were bombarded by energy from his experiments!
They were transformed into forms that conveniently corresponded with their last names - the armoured Knight and the gaseous Fogg!
They encountered Spider-Man when the Kingpin hired them to kill his right-hand man, the Arranger, after one too many failures!
Spider-Man arrived too late to save the Arranger, and was defeated in battle by the deadly duo, but they left him with one key clue...

...they’re from ENGLAND!
And sure enough, Spider-Man’s quest for justice took him to foggy old London Town!
And while he did trace these lethal lads to Liverpool, he got chucked off a bridge into the Mersey for his troubles, ending up with a bout of amnesia!
Luckily, he was discovered by Leo Knight, Malcolm’s brother, and taken to the pub frequented by Knight and Fogg - plus Fogg’s sister, Evelyn, who Leo was in love with, but was herself in love with Malcolm!

It’s like a really weird episode of Coronation Street.
There was a whole thing where Fogg thought he’d killed Leo...
...which turned Knight against him...
...which then allowed Spider-Man to take both of them down with a handy power line!
