Alright that's it-

WHY YOU SHOULD STOP APOLOGIZING FOR ASKING FOR PRAYERS (A THREAD)
I KEEP DOING THREADS AND ITS BECAUSE YALL KEEP TRYING ME
I must see at least three tweets a week that ask for prayers but follow it up with an apology, or God forbid, some version of "This is selfish/I shouldn't ask" etc and it breaks my heart into a thousand pieces, primarily because it is a /lie/
It is my duty to pray for you. I don't mean that I should do it, although I should, or that it's nice for me to do so, although it is.

I mean that by the virtue of the sacraments bound in my blood and my soul, I am bound by /obedience/ to cry out on your behalf to my God.
Selfish? We /belong/ to each other. I'm not being trite or sentimental. Forget for a moment the fact that we must love our neighbor and therefore are honor bound to pray for all humanity (although this is important too).
"The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." (Romans 8:16) You, reading this thread, are my family. If the only thing I ever do, in my whole life, is fall on my knees and pray for you, then what glory will the fruits of my life be!
Why do you place your needs as inferior to mine? Am I worth more than you? Am I somehow chosen, above you? Is my time so precious that it takes precedence over your suffering?

Never. May the earth swallow me if I ever make any of you believe so.
If I seem fierce or over-emotional, it's because I am fierce about this, and I AM emotional, considering that somebody may think so little of themselves that they consider asking for prayers to be /selfish/.
God would tear, and indeed in his Incarnation and Passion has torn, all of time and space asunder in his desire for you. You are not a waste of his time, or mine.
SO STOP APOLOGIZING AND TELL ME WHAT YOU NEED, DANG IT
