Just a reminder that Clearview AI's photo database has been based largely on your photos scraped from Facebook and Instagram. Yet Facebook has done very little to protect those images or pursue action against the company. Facebook board member Peter Thiel is a Clearview investor.
Reading through the complaint, however, and it's less sure than the police department used Clearview AI. The plaintiff's lawsuit alleges that "Clearview Facial Recognition App or some analogous program" was used in misidentifying.
