fat politics will change your life.

if you are fat, learning fat politics will not change the level and types of oppression you receive (which vary by circumstance and by what other marginalizations you have).

but learning fat politics lets you see things you've never seen before.

you will see the discrimination, oppression, and bias you're receiving due to your fatness.

you will learn that it's not your fault. that it never was.

this is empowering as fuck.

and then you can fight. then you can do the work.

you will learn that "the work" is activism -- in all its shy, quiet, bold, loud or tiny glory. in ALL its forms.

the work is not becoming thin(ner). that was a lie. the work is activism. even activism inside your soul.

if you are not fat, fat politics will still change your life.

learning fatpol will change what kind of force you are in the life of your fat friends -- and the lives of fat people you don't know.

it's not about you, but if you, a not-fat person, become a fat politics person, you'll be safer for us. you'll reap riches from that. you'll be making the world better. you'll be doing social justice. you'll be doing RIGHT.

if you're not fat and you become a fat politics person, you won't be "cool."

you may lose some social capital.

are willing to lose some social capital to help us?

we die at the hands of fatphobia daily. literally.

when we don't die, our lives are ruined by fatphobia in so many, many ways.

not-fat people, can you risk some of your social capital to learn fat politics and come do some work over here?

fat politics will help your ED recovery. this applies to people of all sizes.
