This article, of course, does not detail the facts of the case until the very end and they don’t even talk about the facts in a concrete manner.
No mention that the false mental illness defense was only brought up (nearly a week into the trial) after defense counsel had to abandon an alternative (false) theory that her brother committed the murder. Not to mention her mental illness was strongly refuted by expert witnesses
You will not win over people to your cause by lionizing false martyrs. Journalist should tell the truth for once and just come out and say they are against the death penalty.
And I am outspoken re: my personal belief that the Death Penalty is unnecessary in a civilized society. My preference is that we pass a Constitutional Amendment banning it. But you need to be honest why even cases as egregious as this should be granted the small mercy of life.
