1/ My friend Janet totally believes Jesus is the son of god & came to earth to save us all. I don’t. She doesn’t call me christianophobic, nor does she threaten to kill herself because we disagree on a theological issue.

2/ My friend Ashok believed he would be repeatedly reincarnated until he became a ball of light & at one with the universe. I found this highly unlikely. When I told him so, he smiled & passed me a chillum.

3/ if you believe that there is a magical essence of manhood or womanhood that can sometimes reside in a wrongly sexed body and that this essence overrules the importance of biology.... well... oh-kay...

4/ you have no right to attempt to silence those who disagree with you, any more than Janet or Ashok should have the right to force me to pretend I agree with them.

5/ if I were to point at Janet or Ashok and laugh at their beliefs in public; if I were to hit them or hurt them or encourage others to do so, of course, I would be in the wrong.

6/ If they were to demand that those who disagreed with them were beaten, sacked silenced and forced to pretend they agreed, of course, they would be in the wrong.

6/ Punch the TERF, burn the books, silence the infidels, kick them out of their jobs... agree with me or I’ll harm myself... do these sound like the words of people with right on their side? No, they bloody well don’t.
