It’s Monday, let’s change your frame of mind. #Thread 🧵 #StrainVirus
There’s a new “strain” (Don’t at us, we know the discussion back and forth. We are going with what the media is saying) of #COVID19 that is ~70% more infectious.
Notice that we said infectious not transmittable as the media keeps saying.
Why is that? It’s because you still transmit the virus the same way at the same rate. This strain doesn’t make you 70% better at giving it to someone.
It means that YOU are more receptive to getting it ~70% more.
Why is that? Well before, the virus was a shy on lube and fit the entrance to your cells like this.
Then it evolved as a gentleman and now enters your cell like
Does this make the vaccines less effective? Not really, the 2 the have EUA approval train your body to look for the virus spike regardless of how it fits you.
Knowing this, you know what to do. Wear a mask, keep your distance and avoid groups!
