Trump has all kinds of special powers in a national emergency. Nobody seems to remember this

Remember they said he’d never be able to get the funding for the wall by reallocation of Dept. of Defense money?

What day did the CCP Virus national emergency officially end?

Actually that was a trick question.

The declared national emergency of the CCP Virus has not ended.

Which means Trump still has all the broader powers granted to the President in such a national emergency.

Trump will be invoking several of these broader powers that the nation’s Chief Executive has at his disposal **by law**.

Including the ability to reallocate federal funding during a national crisis.

Remember when we were all assured experts that Trump would not be able to legally take billions of dollars slated for the Defense Dept. and reallocate it to building the wall?

And SCOTUS affirmed that the President does indeed have the power to do that?

COVID wasn’t here yet.

Trump had declared an emergency at the border. SCOTUS affirmed that in an emergency the nation’s chief executive does have the power to reallocate federal funding in a national emergency.

Trump is preparing to invoke emergency powers again.
