idk 'bout u but i'll always see the votf perf as something pure
uh it's hard to explain but ig i'll start by saying that i was never fond of that song before. esp the line "love that dress but you wont need it anymore". dude the versa/ce stays on if she wants to, ok
anyway, theres also too many "for me" phrases and i--

ANYWAY. an established horny, physical song. explicit details on what persona wants, little to no regard on what the other person wants. so i dont like it.(thats just me tho, pls dont @ me)
and yet yb delivered it in what i see as longing. and so much passion. i even felt sad at the beginning. he looked sad. his head was down and almost looked like he was hiding his face as he was bringing down his hand.
his background were stars. he stood there alone & caught one & stared at his hand that caught the star when the line "theres no place i'd rather be in this world" came on... IT MADE ME SAD OK
only 29seconds into the perf & hes already demolished my initial perception of the song

And then this. do i even need to talk about this. he cherishes that person so much. he carries this air throughout the entire performance. hes dancing FOR this person that he cherishes, NOT trying to satisfy himself. and so
once again i must say that votf is a booty call song. but mr.yibo said hmm u know what, im gonna make it LOOK poetic and sensual. and hes right. (to me) he completely altered the meaning of this literal bland song and gave it so much more depth WITHOUT changing the lyrics.
THAT is artistry.
im still not fond of the lyrics but at least when this song comes on i would think of yibo and the feelings he brought to that stage, how he shifted the meaning and made it about the other person and not himself and his horneeds.
how he made it look like a longing plea.
how he made it look like a longing plea.
ok so im done, but in case anyone comes @ me saying that this wasnt his choreo, yes i know. but it's him who slightly altered some steps and coordinated with stage setting staff and brought out all the expressions that makes or breaks a performance's atmosphere
