A break from our regular programming:

This year has been challenging, and we are taking a moment to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re going.

Like many of you, our day-to-day has shifted and our goals took on new meaning. We’ve navigated uncharted territories both big (how we support our communities in a pandemic) and small (getting into the groove of Zoom).
Every morning when we look at what we need to do - responding to the pandemic, directly helping our communities, planning for the future, and staying diligent as Ford tries to sneak through things like environmental cuts – it can be overwhelming.
But when we zoom out to look at all we’ve accomplished, we are incredibly proud of this movement.

We don’t always have the chance for gratitude in our day-to-day, but today we are making space.
First of all, we’re inspired by how progressives have been there for each other this year. From community aid groups, to innovative solutions, to our dedicated frontline and essential workers, you have really kept the province going.
Our caucus and their staff have taken on 2020 with dedication.

These offices are doing everything from building community food programs, supporting renters at the Landlord Tenant Board, drafting – and pushing – Private Member’s Bills that respond to the pandemic and more.
And while we fight for direct supports for Ontarians, we have also been planning our future.

This year we shared our policy visions for long-term care, a Green New Democratic Deal, ending police violence and investing in communities, and our plan to fix housing in our province.
Our movement has welcomed over 140K new faces, who have taken over 400k actions ranging from emailing Doug Ford to stop evictions, opposing Lecce’s flawed education plan, adding your voice to our long-term care survey, and signing petitions.
When we look back at 2020, we see that we’ve built a truly people powered movement. We’ve created a vision for the province we all deserve, and that gives us hope.

Thank you for being a part of it.
