posting your bodychecks at your lowest weight is not a good way of inspiring disordered people to recover and idk why these “recovery posts” still do this. i saw halsey’s ig story with her bodycheck, and all i could think of was how i wanna look like *that*
ofc you can just say that’s my fault and it sort of is, but if you were in that disordered mindset as well, surely you know comparing your body to others, or even thinspo/bodychecks, is a major factor fueling ed’s?? what i’ve always found more effective is the stories people
write about their hospital stays, being hooked up to an iv, and how they have health effects to this day, years after recovery from their ed. that shit is morbid but it captures the scary part of ed’s much better than a bodycheck ever will (imo at least)
