From CRE Broker to CRE Owner

This is a thread for CRE brokers interested in growing their biz:

I made $9,954 as a broker in 2008 and 2x each year for 7 years.
This enabled me to become an owner

Here is what I did:

1.Focus on 1 prop. type. Don’t be a generalist!
2.Create a database of 1,000 owners or tenants.
3.Prospect 3 hrs a day/ 3 days a week (no one does this!) via phone or in-person.

4.Create a newsletter and send it out 1x month with info about your prop type (listings, sales, etc)
5.Create a simple homepage on Squarespace letting ppl know who you are and what you do. Get personal.
6.Create a 90-sec digital audio business card. Acts like a mini convo.

7.Get a mentor/manager. Meet every 3 mo to discuss progress and stay accountable.
http://8.Now  the hard part. Act.

You will see NO results for 6-9 months doing this. It will be HARD. But in mo. 20-24 you will make six figures. I know it works b/c I did it myself.
