Then I was "off," meaning for the next two days I actually worked for 12-16 hours a day getting ready for Christmas/"celebrating" the holiday
This weekend, was the first time in a week that I was meant to be off that I was actually off and guess what?
I still talked about and thought about work both days
And now that it's Monday, I'm fielding work questions and forwarding emails before I've had coffee
Great break

Moral: don't do what I did, folks
Protect your boundaries, even from (especially from, if you're like me) yourself
Don't check your media
Don't check your email
Book in actual recovery time from the holidays if you are the person who administrates them in your family
