Christianity is not a white religion. Its origins were in Palestine. Ethiopia was the first Christian kingdom (301). Some of the most important early theologians were African (Athanasius, Augustine). Demographically, there are three times more non-white than white Christians.
To defend "European" or "American values" is not the same thing as defending as Christian values. And a confusion of the two often leads to deeply idolatry.
I think it is interesting and not insignificant that the very places which have wielded Christianity in reprehensible ways, are the places in which the faith is dying out.
Anyway, when someone says "wishing people a merry Christmas is white supremacy" I wish to respond "only if you wish to encourage the white supremacists in their delusion that Christianity is fundamentally white/western/European."
A century from now, there will probably hardly be any white people left in Christianity. I hope the global south and east will be praying for our pagan souls. Merry Christmas, everybody. :)
