It's been a weird old year - but there was lots of good news hiding among all the scary stuff! Here's a round up of some happy things you might have missed.
JANUARY
A cat called Tiger went on a 100 mile ride in a removal lorry across Wales. The furry stowaway (who presumably heard that mice were especially tasty in Cardiff) was later re-united with his 84-year-old owner.
FEBRUARY
A girl born in a pub returned for an 18th birthday pint*. Isobel Casey was born unexpectedly in the Hartford Mill pub in Cambridgeshire in 2002. She now lives in Canada, but flew back over for her birthday.

*We like to think it was a pint of tea.
MARCH
The loneliest dog in Britain finally got a home! Bess had been at a shelter for over 10 years - but an online campaign led to offers from around the world and a permanent home on the south coast.

(With an owner, obviously. She didn't get her own flat.)
APRIL
A lovely man named Captain Tom Moore walked 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday - inspiring over £30million in sponsorship donations for NHS charities.

(You've probably heard about this one)
MAY
Know a koala in need? Just call Bear - the heroic Australian wonder dog! In May, the world learned of the exploits of this four-legged superhero, who used his doggy skills to rescue over 100 imperilled koalas in the aftermath of Australia's bushfires.
JUNE
A mystery window cleaner grabbed his squeegee and cleaned 700 Great Yarmouth businesses for free. The man left nothing behind but squeaky clean glass and a friendly note - like a special Windolene version of the Milk Tray man.
JULY
Two elderly launderette owners became fashion icons. The Taiwanese couple were convinced by their grandson to become Instagram models - and they now have over 650,000 followers: https://instagram.com/wantshowasyoung/

We hear they also offer very competitive rates for dry cleaning.
AUGUST
When a toddler fell into the harbour in Staithes, North Yorkshire, young Eli Harrison saved the day. The fearless lad sprinted down the pier, leapt into the water and rescued the child - immediately becoming Britain's coolest 11-year-old.
SEPTEMBER
Meanwhile, Britain's coolest 10-year-old had a drum battle with Dave Grohl - and won! British and Zulu drummer Nandi Bushell impressed the Foo Fighters star so much, he even wrote a song in her honour.

We wrote a song once. It was about tea:
OCTOBER
A man named Lloyd Scott got into his 130lb diving suit and climbed the Three Peaks back to back. It's unclear whether this was intentional or just because his sat nav was on the blink, but either way he raised over £150,000 for charity.
NOVEMBER
Blake and his mum were at the McDonald's drive thru in Stockton. Blake, six, offered to pay for the next car - and started a chain reaction, with each car paying the next one's bill.

(Warning: don't do this in a bank, in case the person behind is getting a mortgage)
DECEMBER
A rotund man dressed in a red and white outfit broke into homes around the world and left loads of presents in the living room.

Despite being technically a crime and a clear breach of social distancing guidelines, everyone was pretty much fine with it.
