Avoid palm oil and timber from regions where forests are razed. A recent study found cattle, soya, palm oil and timber were responsible for 80 per cent of deforestation globally.
Coffee drinkers should buy “shade-grown” coffee, which keeps forest habitats intact. I'm told @BirdandWild do this, though I can't vouch for their coffee.
