Deviation from the vertical axis indicates extent to which the labelled factor was associated with a change in covid19 death rates.
As can be seen, lockdowns & other restrictions were not linked to reduced death rates.
This paper doesn’t study negative impacts of measures, but...
...as there is no evident benefit from ‘lockdown’, there are no gains to use to offset the appalling negative effects of the ‘measures’ which our Govt has imposed upon us.
A few things are clear. Govt persists in damaging the country in every way, despite not only no evidence...
...of benefit from such restrictions but worse, active evidence that they’re useless.
No responsible Govt can continue to do what they’re doing. We, the people, must use the emerging evidence that LOCKDOWN SAVES NO ONE BUT KILLS MANY as well as destroying the economy.
On top of that, the national testing system yields nothing but results WHICH CONFLICT WITH EVERY OTHER DATA SERIES. We must tell the executive that what’s being done is misleading & if they persist, we can only conclude it’s deliberate & malign (for whatever motives).
Do note as well, that not only has ‘lockdown’ been shown not to help, but that asymptomatic transmission is also a lie. Mask wearing, as we were initially told & consistent with the best research prior to the pandemic, neither protect the wearer nor others around them.
Nothing...
...that we are being told about this ghastly episode is true. It’s not even true that hospitals are fuller than usual for late December. General wards are distinctly light, because the NHS had a policy to minimise loadings in case of a 2nd wave. Even intensive care is only...
...slightly more full than usual but even this isn’t due to covid19, but because surgical staff have the confidence to run more elective surgeries than usual for winter. Including ICU surge capacity, we’re only at 73% loading. We do have a staffing crisis because, the last...
...time I spoke with my senior contact, of the order of 10% staff are off at any time, mostly not because they’re ill, but because they’re required to self-isolate after receiving a positive test from the same PCR mass testing system as the rest of us have to use. But the big...
...news is that NHS senior management have reached the same conclusion I have: they bo longer trust the results of PCR mass testing. As a result, they’ve just switched over to the rapid antigen LFT test. If staff are positive with LFT, they get a confirmatory PCR test. But...
...they’re not longer farming this out to the public, PCR mass testing system but these tests are being done back ‘in house’, in the NHS pathology service which did pretty well in spring.
Watch out for NHS self-isolation absences cratering in January.
