I have just been informed that, the ongoing phone Number Linking with NIN (National Identity Number) currently being championed by @DrIsaPantami, is another strategy, this govt wants to use in regulating the press/social media, Through the backdoor.

This exercise is not aimed at curbing the activities of Bandits, Kidnappers or Boko Haram. Neither was it initiated because of the GENERAL SECURITY SITUATION of the country. The main purpose for this linking, of phone number with NIN, is to easily target dissenting voices.
To easily target those critical about this Government. To easily round up those disseminating information on various social media platforms, that are critical of this regime. To have easy access to our personal information, without the public knowing.
Our personal Data's are not protected in this country. If you are in doubt, then answer this questions.

By my findings, i discovered that, telecommunication service providers, gave out their details to CBN.
How did that happen?
Firstly, the government got their phone numbers, from either close friends, or associates who are privy to it, and willing to snitch on them.

Those numbers were sent to their telco service providers, to fish out their details, & BVN linked to those phone numbers. They used the BVN to know all the bank accounts, linked to those details.
Although, the targets were more than 20, but some numbers weren't linked to BVN.

Since the #EndSARS target by CBN went on smoothly and seamless, this government is ready to expand it's scope. By having direct access to our phone numbers through NIN. And dragging more critics into the dragnet. Haven failed woefully in trying to regulate the social media.

If they get hold of your mobile number as a critic of this government, they will easily get your picture, address, gender, state of origin, Local Govt, BVN, & bank accounts. With just a click of your phone number into the NIN platform register, that will be controlled by NCC.
Many people, especially journalists & critics will be picked up & detained indefinitely, by this govt. People will be arrested for posting things critical about this govt. Some will disappear like DADIYATA. & maybe in future, NIN might be needed before browsing the internet.
