This interaction aside, we have to question why we are so quick to deny someone's reality. We don't know Elsa, we don't know her experiences.

I am old enough on this app to remember the insults directed at Lupita Nyong'o when Shuga came out - and the denial of colorism that followed when she talked about experiencing colorism as an actor on Kenya.

I don't need to love Elsa's comedy style to unreservedly support her. The fact that she's 19 and unafraid is 
reason for me to stan.

I encourage my nieces to try new things. And Elsa is yet another example I use and will continue to use, of a girl who tried something and it worked.
