People need to realise there's a lot more to being a successful manager at a big club than tactics.

If you don't know how to handle big ego players, impatient fans, and difficult boards, your tactics don't mean shit.
That's why Sarri failed at Chelsea. It's why Conte failed at Chelsea. It's why AVB failed at Chelsea. It's why even Jose Mourinho failed at Chelsea.

Tuchel, Nagelsmann, Emery, whichever other fancy hipster manager you're looking at will be the exact same.
Very very few managers have managed to balance the tactics with the politics needed at the top level. Guardiola and to a lesser degree Klopp are the only very successful recent examples I can think of.
Frank Lampard has an incredible relationship with the board, fans, and players. His pull power is amazing.

His tactics are not the greatest, but:
1) if there's one thing he showed as a player, it was constant self-evaluation and improvement. I'm certain he can get better
2) A good manager can surround himself with the right trainers who can improve the team tactically. Sir Alex was famous for this. Mourinho had Faria behind him, Klopp had Buvac. Frank has shown hes doing this thru the appointment of Barry, who has improved defense + set pieces
Long term, Frank has all the ingredients to be a successful manager, whether at Chelsea or elsewhere.

Stop twerking for hipster revolutionary tactic megaminds. They don't work at big clubs.
: a look around Europe's top clubs further demonstrates that tacticians don't get far.

Sarri at Juve
Valverde at Barca
Setien at Barca
Lopetegui at Real
Emery at Arsenal
Emery at PSG
Tuchel at PSG
Benitez at Real
Whereas when you look at the managers who have won the CL most recently:

Flick
Klopp
Zidane
Enrique
Ancelotti
Heynckes
Di Matteo
Guardiola
Mourinho
Sir Alex

All of them absolutely elite at man management and club politics. Other than Pep, none known particularly for...
their intricate tactics, philosophy, etc.

Just set up an efficient machine, and let world class players do their thing.

It's not rocket science.
