1/ As we close in on 2021, I’m left asking myself:
“Have I taken all I can get from the baseball Twitter community?
Is it really worth continuing on?
Is there anything good left on the horizon?”
It seems like most of the good minds are gone... (Cont)

2/ This year, I’ve been attacked by an ex pro player with whom I’ve never had a conversation, watched local daddy ball guys try to slander my name and my program, and watched countless others bicker over philosophies to the point where I’m like:
Why even bother?
Why even bother?
3/ Baseball Twitter used to be a place where guys could freely exchange ideas and challenge each other to leave no stone unturned...
Now it’s a place where you have to use discretion with what drills/training you post, so as to not deal with trolls and their minions.

4/ What is the end goal?
For the ex pro player, is it the thrill of feeling relevant again?
For the young guy, do you really feel the need to argue with someone that played 20 years ago to feel you are smarter?
The jock measuring contest is too much for me...

5/ We all need to take a look at ourselves and figure out what we are trying to portray to the youth that follow us.
I was told at one point that I was less of a man for blocking accounts that troll me, instead of engaging with them.
“Politics Social Media” has spilled over.

6/ Engaging in social media arguments is like running on a hamster wheel. No matter how far you go, you are still in the same spot you started.
What legacy are you trying to leave? Is attacking someone’s livelihood to sell some catchy t-shirts and hats really the vibe?

7/ Very little of my actual business is generated from Twitter. That’s the beauty of the whole thing...
8 years ago, I started with one guy from a Craigslist ad. In 2020 alone, we worked with over 120 athletes. Only 2 mentioned Twitter as the place they learned about us.

8/8 I guess the message in this thread is that Twitter doesn’t make the player, the coach, the ex player, etc...
Give more to your circle and care less about being liked by people you may never meet.
Add value to the lives of those around you.
Barrels. Over. Everything.
