THIS is the diff bw Black folks & white folks in this country. Nearly every single yt person I know, even the "poor" ones - ppl who lived on food stamps or "welfare" - got SOME money from their parents. Even if it wasn't a lot. Sometimes it meant selling grandma's stuff. https://twitter.com/bd_highsmith/status/1027049512760750080
But they still walked away with something, even if it was only a couple thousand. Young Black folks in this country rarely, if ever, inherit wealth, and especially not from grandparents or great-grands. Because those folks never had anything to leave.
