and S2 did everything but feel forced obviously. Of course half of the season was without a doubt clear as day fan-service but ALL of it felt coherent, all the nostalgia member berries stuff that was pulled from canon was used to benefit the story and og characters from Mando S1.
Without Bo-Katan Din would’ve never abandoned the death watch creed or removed his helmet in front of others. Without Ahsoka the audience & Din wouldn’t know the name of Grogu as well as his backstory. And without Boba & Luke the safety of the child would’ve never been guaranteed

Above all else Mando S2 put Ahsoka Tano, Bo-Katan, Cobb Vanth and a bunch of other canon and legends material into live action. It gave extreme importance to background characters of SW like the tusken raiders, made people fall in love with Boba Fett and gave us Luke the legend.
And I feel like everything about Luke’s brilliant entrance and rescue has been said. So in the end I truly believe that for what it was able to do #TheMandalorian Season 2 is by far one of the greatest accomplishments in Star Wars.
