reading The Last Psychiatrist on narcissism and it’s 100% gaslighting

every sentence is designed to break down the reader's self-trust
look at this cheap parlor trick

he 'catches you out' because you're trying to be good (taking on the frame that narcissism is bad), and then because you're trying to figure out what's good instead of already knowing it (ie agreeing with him), he calls you selfish & a bad parent
he sends you into a meta spiral, causing you to question your motives and very ability to make your own judgements (because according to him that's narcissistic)
lmao "looking-- right back at you" WHAT A SHOCKING SURPRISE I WILL CHANGE MY WAYS IMMEDIATELY TELL ME WHAT TO DO O WISE ONE I DONT WANT HER LOOKING AT ME
^he takes 5 paragraphs to obliquely say "the story is about you".

it's designed to make you *feel* you're a piece of shit, not merely think it

it's a neg: lowers your self-value in order to substitute his own
first it's obvious that story is a parable

but TLP is pushing his frame so much that you're bad that you might believe you didn't truly realise it. and the fact you didn't realise it is what makes you bad. it's a loop.
^none of these sentences have any content; they're all purely to make you doubt yourself
this is all control dynamics 101

listen to basically any episode of IndoctriNation (podcast about cults and psychological control). the main thing cults do is have you substitute your judgement for theirs
epitome of authoritarianism
it's not even giving examples of the purported narcissism of the reader.

of the 4 specifics — which are conspicuously rare in his writings — 3 of them are nothing to do with oneself, and only one (in blue below) is arguably about oneself (or rather, a past version of oneself)
in case one were tempted to point out the irony of his dogmatic frame, TLP helpfully reminds the reader that he's already declared he is a piece of trash, meaning he's immune from criticism
he says: you are miserable, so why don't you put yourself to good use and make others happy instead?

Who receives this charity?

If everyone should think of others, can anyone?

it's as if there's a limited amount of happiness, and thinking about your own takes some from others https://twitter.com/metalulie/status/1343495333570076672
