Let’s think about the logic of the SNP No-Deal position. They are saying they will not vote for the UK/ EU deal because it is demonstrably poorer than the existing arrangement. They will vote instead for No-Deal and the UK exiting the EU on WTO terms.
If after #Scexit Scotland joined the EU, then the proposed UK/EU deal (assuming it passes) would define arrangements for how Scotland trades with the UK.
The SNP are effectively saying that the arrangements for trade between Scotland and the UK would therefore be demonstrably poorer than the existing arrangement.
So much poorer in their eyes that they cannot countenance voting for it.
