An important Twitter lesson: last week I was on a thread w/ some Yang haters accusing him of encouraging the gang to move to GA to vote. I called BS & offered $100 to anyone who can prove it.

Of course, they couldn't. But one guy posted a screenshot of him announcing he's moving
He kept claiming that it was a smoking gun & I owed him $100. I don't usually go on the offensive unless I'm provoked & that's what he did. So I start to unload on him and basically call him stupid and illiterate. I could've done it once but I decided to pile on.
Then I took a look at his profile & read some of his tweets. Several posts about struggling & wanting to end his life. Then I realized what an ass I've been. I apologized & sent him $101.

I may have been right but I was absolutely wrong.
I was reminded that there was a person behind the tweet & that you never know what someone is going through.

My personal creed in real life is to always make anyone who knows me better off for knowing me.

Twitter can't be an exception & that's what I learned last week.
