I know there are people who follow me that will be hesitant to take the COVID-19 vaccine when they are offered

Many of you will be wary to voice questions or concerns lest you be labelled “anti vax”

Please feel free to voice your concerns or questions with me here

I will (1)

(2) do my best to direct you to the best sources of accurate evidence based information so you can make your own informed choice for you and your family

I am not a GP, a PH specialist or an ID/Micro Consultant so I am not an expert in this area but I do have great friends in

(3) all 3 groups so I am lucky that I can discuss my own questions with experts who are friends as well as colleagues

I will be dancing up the line to get my own vaccination

Not because there are no risks or no side effects to vaccination

But because for me the risk of

(4) being seriously ill with covid is so much more serious than the much smaller risk of side effects

As a doctor & a hcw I work in an environment where I make decisions based on risk assessment every day so that experience helps with this

I appreciate it’s not the same for

(5) everyone and that this is a stressful time & decision

In the coming months as vaccination rolls out and we need to achieve high levels of uptake to protect each other: let’s have these conversations
