Dario Saric's career as an NBA Superstar (NBA 2K Simulation): A Thread
To start, I went into NBA 2K's draft classes, and copied Dario's rookie player DNA, and pasted him onto the Sixers. He replaced Terrance Ferguson. I adjusted his potential rating to 99 and implemented his initial 4 year rookie contract.
To create a starting spot for Dario, the first trade I made was Tobias Harris and 2 2nd round picks for Otto Porter.
Rotations to begin Dario's rookie year:
Dario finishes his rookie year as a member of the All-Rookie 2nd Team with averages of 17.3 PTS - 5.1 REB - 1.3 AST - 0.8 STL - 0.1 BLK - 38.2% FG - 31.7% 3PT - 89.8% FT in 31.4 MPG. The Sixers finish as the 4th seed with a record of 48-34.
The Sixers fall in the NBA Finals to the Lakers in 7 games. Dario had playoff averages of 20.3 PTS - 6.6 REB - 1.8 AST - 1.7 STL - 0.3 BLK - 34.9% FG - 26.8% 3PT - 91.8% FT in 35.9 MPG.
With the 18th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, the Sixers selected Moussa Cisse. Backup center for the future. In Free Agency we signed Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Sixer legend Timothe Luwawu-Cabbarot. We also picked up Kent Bazemore, Demarre Carroll, and brought back Boban.
Dario increased to an 81 overall following his rookie season. Here are the rotations entering the 2021-22 season.
Dario's sophomore season averages: 20 PTS - 6.5 REB - 1.2 AST - 0.9 STL - 0.2 BLK - 40.9% FG - 34.6% 3PT - 93.6% FT in 32.6 MPG. The Sixers finish as the 5th seed with a record of 44-38.
The Sixers fall in the 2nd Round in 5 games to the 1st seeded Knicks. Dario had playoff averages of 20.5 PPG - 5.9 REB - 1.3 AST - 1.3 STL - 0.1 BLK - 44.3% FG - 39.5% 3PT - 100% FT in 33.8 MPG.
We flipped Danny Green, Seth Curry, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for draft picks in preparation for potentially a huge offseason move

We were sadly unable to create enough cap space to sign James Harden in free agency. However, we did bring back Robert Covington, and signed Jakob Poeltl. We also signed Rajon Rondo, Shaq Harrison, and re-signed Kent Bazemore.(we were unable to sign Cory Joseph who is pictured)

Dario finished his third season with averages of 19.5 PTS - 5.8 REB - 1.3 AST - 0.9 STL - 0.2 BLK - 45.1% FG - 38.2% 3PT - 97% FT in 30.9 MPG. The Sixers finished the season with a 47-35 record, making them the 6th seed.
DARIO HAS WON HIS FIRST RING! THE 6TH SEEDED SIXERS MAKE A MIRACLE RUN TO A CHAMPIONSHIP! Dario had playoff averages of 24.2 PTS - 5.7 REB - 1.6 AST - 0.9 STL - 0.3 BLK - 48.1% FG - 40.5% 3PT - 98.5% FT in 34 MPG. Sadly he did not win finals MVP.
There were no offseason moves made. Dario will enter his 4th season as an 87 overall.

Dario has his true breakout season in his 4th year. He had averages of 23.3 PTS - 6.5 REB - 1.5 AST - 1.0 STL - 0.1 BLK - 45.8% FG - 38.2% 3PT - 99.2% FT in 34.8 MPG. The Sixers finish as the 8th seed with a 43-39 record.
The Sixers fall in a first round sweep to the Atlanta Hawks. Dario had averages of 16.8 PTS - 6.0 REB - 1.3 AST - 1.5 STL - 0.3 BLK - 35.5% FG - 22.7% 3PT - 100% FT in 35.5 MPG.
The Sixers select Luis Hendrix and Stanley Vaughn with the 17th and 29th picks in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Sadly Matisse Thybulle does not want to re-sign :/ he will be missed. However, we were able to bring in Villanova legend Mikal Bridges on a 4yr/35.82m deal.
Dario will enter his 5th season as an 88 overall.
