1. Our hair does not excessively shed. We have noticed this being a reoccurring problem in the hair industry, generally with products that are targeted towards Black women. This is not a coincidence.
2. Shedding indicates that the unit wasn’t constructed with care and is of poor quality. You’ll notice the difference immediately when you get an Alvarchi unit as our hair is designed to last and is expertly constructed to uphold the quality and life span of the unit.
3. EXHIBIT A of shedding/poor quality. This unit is hair from a popular hair vendor and the frontal lasted a mere 3 weeks
4. Alvarchi Culture’s 613 unit maintaining its integrity! This is 12 months apart, same unit just bleached to a different colour
no signs of excessive shedding or a dramatic shift in quality.

5. If you see any hair on sell that has titles like “Mink Brazilian” “Peruvian” or “Malaysian” hair, stay clear away. This is a clever advertisement trick that has flooded the industry for years to make vendors hair seem more appealing & “exotic” to cover up the poor quality.
6. Majority of the hair that is advertised that way is actually from China. Not all Chinese hair is bad hair, but the majority of the mass produced hair from there has had a consistent pattern of pushing poor quality hair into black spaces.
7. In some cases, the hair is unethically sourced - hair being sourced from drains, street floors and in severe cases, hair from the deceased. It’s very important to know where your hair comes from and how it was sourced.
8. Regular mainstream hair lasts around 6 months to 1 year. Our units last a minimum of 2-3 years with careful maintenance preserving the integrity of the hair. All cuticles are aligned & our micro but sturdy knots in our lace allows a perfect melt.
