If you’re biracial like me what’s something you wish your parents knew or understood about what you go through in terms of your racial identity
like my mom is white and all through my teens just didn’t understand why I wasn’t having the typical white teen experience she did in the 60s, it was very odd
or she’d made Asian jokes presumably out of love but they just landed funny
Dunno sometimes wish I could go back in time and just have a chat with them about what they needed to expect raising a biracial kid
I wish my dad had been willing to teach me or have me learn Korean; not being fluent is one of the biggest pains and shames in my heart
