What were Chelsea’s weaknesses last season? Defending crosses, set pieces, counters, missing easy chances, and breaking down a low block.

If you thought that throwing £200 million would instantly solve these problems, you’re overly optimistic and impatient. It’s a process ⬇️
People saying Lampard hasn’t improved Chelsea:

We haven’t conceded a single goal from a cross.
We have not only got better at defending set pieces, but we’re scoring more than any other team.
As for counters, apart from Wolves, we’ve been perfect at defending them. Progress.
As for missing easy chances, no manager can teach that. It’s up to players there.

Attacking against low blocks is something we still struggle with, but if the other categories are anything to go off, Lampard will be working hard to make sure this isn’t a problem for much longer.
You can’t sit silently and ignore progress. Yes, there’s been drawbacks, but there is literally no top team in world football that is consistent.

In the PL, Liverpool, Man United, City & Spurs have all gone through tough periods already. It’s our turn now. This season’s crazy.
In the La Liga, Barca are struggling, Real Madrid almost got knocked out of the CL and haven’t been great.

Juve are 6th in the Seria A. Bayern are still first, but have dropped 9 points in 13 games which is unlike what we’ve seen from them last season.
