Omo. I'll gladly list all the reasons why that unfortunate girl was raped with the valid authorities.

1. She's just 14. She's not even a minor. You're not a minor until you're 16. And the option of being a minor only comes up when you're considering cases where the Mature...
Minor Concept comes up. So this girl was still a child.

2. Children cannot give consent. Same way a child is legally incapable of committing rape( S. 30 CCA) a child is incapable of giving consent. No matter how informed.- S. 31 (3) Child's Rights Act [L.F.N. 20004 Cap. N30]
3. Even if this girl could consent (which she couldn't), by virtue of S. 357 of the Criminal code Act, consent obtained by force, means of, threat or intimidation, fraudulent representation, etc is not consent.

Y'all can see for yourselves.
4. Lastly, an apology in the eyes of the Law is ipso facto an admission of guilt. So for the fact that the Justin guy apologized, he has admitted everything she accused him of.

By virtue of S. 123 of the Evidence Act, facts admitted need not be proved.

Man's a rapist.
Also, The Age of Consent in Nigeria is 18.

The age of consent wasn't specified in the Nigerian Constitution. It was however stated in the Child's Rights Act which has been enacted by 23 states and counting.

So unless it's a state governed by Penal code, 18 is the age.
Many other laws peg the age of majority at 18 asides the Child's Rights Act.

Section 2 of the Convention on the Rights of a child

S. 7 (3) and (4) of the Sexual Offences Bill state the punishments for sexual exploitation of 12- 15 year olds and 16-18 year olds respectively
So dead that stupid 11 Years agenda.

Be informed. Who ask questions no dey miss road.
