From a Unionist point of view (English father, Northern Irish mother, born in Army hospital in W. Germany and went all through High school in S.W Scotland) ,as a former @ScotTories voter & someone who stood for @UKIP in Northern Ireland.

Scottish independence now makes sense.
1. The so called Conservative & UNIONIST Party put a border down the Irish Sea which had already seen GB online retailers, parcel couriers & plant nurseries withdraw from selling in Northern Ireland. Thereby undermining the economic arguments for the Union.
2. @michaelgove reckons the Irish Sea border is the best of both worlds,Swhich if true can only fuel the argument for a similar deal for Scotland.
3. Scottish independence removes the Irish Sea border between Belfast/Larne & Cairnryan should Scotland join the single market in some form (suggest EFTA giving Scotland control of fish)
It is demonstrable that the Conservative & UNIONIST Party has no regard for the Union whatsoever. Strand 3 of the Good Friday Agreement covers the entire British Isles and asked for bilateral & multilateral deals between three various Parliaments & Assemblies. Celtic Federation?
The Prime Minister @BorisJohnson promised Northern Ireland Conservative party members they're would be no border in the Irish Sea.
Scottish independence (if in the single market) removes these checks between Northern Ireland & Scotland
On the other hand, a whole UK Brexit would have secured the Union. Instead we have Brexit by @BorisJohnson which is the death knell of the Union.
I predict Scottish independence within 5 years.
As I read elsewhere. A huge swathe of GB trade coming into Dover actually goes North of Birmingham so this would offer huge opportunities for a Scottish port for cross channel trade taking in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland & the North of England.
