I hope the young lady transfers to a college she wants to attend after. She seems to have changed her attitude from even before the video went viral, and still responds with the right spirit today.
The adults on here who think it's okay to refer to the young man who posted the video as a "psychopath", who simultaneously had little or nothing to say about the consistent racism mentioned in the same article, please understand this is why your pleas of good faith fall flat.
These are the experiences of black students in that school, and nothing, but posting the video of a girl saying the n-word and a college already facing bad PR for racist incidents asking her to withdraw is what most merits your anger?

Speak on both at least. Pretend at least
A normal university may be willing to let it slide or even delay her entrance for a semester.

This is the reaction of a university in PR trouble. They weren't willing to hear how she's changed because it's just not worth the trouble for them. This is unfortunate, but logical.
Just think how the student who said the n-word is granted innocence. She's young they say. The young man who posted the video isn't granted the same grace. He's not "innocent", he's a "psychopath". He deserves all your condemnation but her use of the n-word was just indiscretion.
I'll wrap up by saying again I hope both those young people continue to grow. I hope the young lady gets back on track. She seems to understand how she screwed up her options with her actions. The young man can learn to see the bigger picture.

Adults, y'all need to reflect.
