I need to go off here for a minute.

There are a lot of transition stories out there with something like, "I found out that there are trans women who don't think about sex all the time!"

Please confront this bullshit internalized transmisogyny before posting.

Here's why:
The conception of trans feminine people being "obsessed" with sex is a notion invented by cis people to other us.

We were so repressed by cis culture that the only out trans femmes were sex workers. Then cis people pointed to us and called us icky for it. This was done *to* us.
When you have "I found demure trans women, that I can identify with! 😊," that means that you bought into the idea that sexuality of trans femmes is icky and that you were afraid to be trans because of it.

This is internalized transmisogyny. You need to interrogate this.
1. Just like cis people, it is okay for trans femmes to like sex, and to have it as a primary interest.
2. Trans femmes *still* have to do sex work much of the time to survive, and the ability to do that legally is under attack. Your siblings are at risk and you call them icky.
Sex workers, kinksters, and just plain old horny bitches are a part of our community.

You don't get to claim that we aren't. We aren't even claiming that we represent the majority of us. We know that aces are a big part of our community too.
If you're questioning your gender, you're welcome in the trans community.

But if you come in and then give some of us the sideye because we don't perform demure femininity, then you need to interrogate that *NOW*.
Please write your self acceptance posts. But if you don't accept some of us for liking sex, then you don't accept yourself, and you need to work on that before trying to represent us.

I refuse to let you make me invisible on cis terms. Period.
Important addendum:

I want to be very clear here that I'm not saying that sex-avoidant trans folks like ace folx all have internalized transmisogyny.

I'm sorry that the framing painted such folx in that light, and I want to correct that.
