There was a guide on how not to get doxxed I saw being spread around here and as someone who grew up in and is still in uber toxic communities where people will doxx and swat you over you killing them with your lego sword I thought I'd give a streamlined guide on how to avoid it.
FIRSTLY:
Know your enemies. Know the people in your community who have the ability or are willing to doxx people. Stay out of their away and stay away from them. See who's good friends with them and see if you're mutuals with them as well, and if you are then
*DO NOT GIVE FRIENDS OF PEOPLE WHO CAN DOXX OR SWAT YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS*
Personal details include:
IP Addresses
Your address
The school you go to
Your phone number
Places your parents work at
Basically anything that can be used to find out where you live or at least pinpoint it
DONT LINK YOUR TWITTER ACCOUNT TO IRL BASED SOCIAL MEDIAS

If your instagram or your snapchat is about you and your real life, places you go to, people you meet, etc. make sure to not give it to random people on twitter or make it public because that will *not* work out for you.
Make sure to keep those accounts private and only give them to people you trust honestly.

If they see where the pictures are being taken it wont be hard for them to pinpoint a more precise location.

Lastly, don't be afraid if someone threatens to doxx you. 99% of the time they
are an extremely insecure piece of garbage who wants to feel better about themselves by threatening people. Call their bluff. Ask them where you live. If they have your state down, it doesn't matter honestly you're completely safe, they can't do anything with just that knowledge.
If they don't know where you live or even the vicinity of it, what school you attend, or literally anything about your public life when asked, they're bluffing and it's not worth wasting your time on.
