Firstly it could produce a new #coronavirus strain that would become more infectious still, and possibly a strain that might be more deadly for younger people and children...

...secondly it runs an increased risk of producing mutations that might be less responsive to the vaccines now being rolled out, or even a mutation that renders the vaccine completely ineffective, resulting in a new pandemic...

...this is a threat to the entire world, because no mutation is going to remain in just one country. So the @WHO, other world leaders including Angela Merkel, @EmmanuelMacron and @JoeBiden need to tell @BorisJohnson in no uncertain terms that his policy is unacceptable.
