Happy Sunday, lovely people

Today, we shall be talking about a topic "keeping feed cost down" as suggested by @adelalu

I followed one of @SamuelOguns7 thread and I will be starting this thread with what he said

That is "one of the most effective ways to keep the feed cost
Low is by milling your own feed"

See, there's nothing to beat around the bush here

The truth is that, if you get a great feed formula and can be able to mill your feed. With all pleasure, take that option

That's one SURE way to save cost on feeding
However, if you are unable to have your hands on any feeding formula, with all pleasure, buy your feed.

But there is something you need to do to get this right

That is, before you even book your day old birds, calculate the number of bags that the birds will eat from week 1 to
Week X (which is the intended time you want to sell)

Let's assume you want to get the birds in second week of January.

It is always better to buy the whole bags of feed that you will need or at least 80% of it.
Please, never go into poultry farming (that is if you want to cut feed cost) without getting this done.

This will save you the challenge of buying feed weekly at an increasing cost. So, when others complain of feed price increase, you won't feel it much.
Also, There is no better joy than having the feeds ready as this will give you confidence to feed them appropriately in order to reach market size soon

Try this and you will be glad you did. Happy Sunday, once more
