A defeat, a draw and a victory all played within six months of each other that show the genius of Jurgen Klopp as a manager [thread].
November 2015 Scott Dann scores the winner for Palace at Anfield with a rebounded header in the 82nd minute. Fans start streaming out of the ground and in his post game press conference Klopp criticises them:
A month later and we're losing at home to West Brom until the 96th minute when Origi scores with a deflected shot. The fans had stayed and been rewarded. After the game Klopp led the players over to the Kop to thank the crowd for their support. Rival fans mocked us mercilessly.
Four months later with over 60 minutes gone Liverpool are losing 3-1 to Dortmund in the Europa league QF, most teams would have given up but driven on by the Anfield crowd who Klopp has turned from 'doubter to believers' Liverpool complete an astonishing comeback.
Klopp knew all along the power of Anfield and by reaffirming to the fans how the players need their support through thick and thin he's turned Anfield into the fortress it is now, a place where anything is possible.
