New year resolution and goals:
Just a piece of advice from my perspective

[ Thread ]
There are no resolutions(sounds ironic) but instead of resolutions, we should better build habits,
habits are directly proportional to our productivity (1/n)
Build short term habits like a challenge for 21 days or a few days. Don't be severe and harsh on yourself by trying to be idealistic, you may end up doing even worse (2/n)
Accept small goals and human imperfections.

We humans, are error-prone, deficient and are subconsciously submerged in bygone habits (3/n)
We feel sad, depressed, and undergo negative emotions because of human fallibility, biological functioning, genetics, adverse events, stress, neurochemical imbalance, etc (4/n)
Iterate your imperfections, scrutinize them, and correct them, it's a bonus that multiplies your productivity like a rolling snowball (5/n)
Change, fix, modify, update, reform, or correct goals according to circumstances, situations, and environment, bcoz life accommodates plenty of randomnesses, unbounded situations, spectrum of opinions and fluctuations too (6/n)
We work in a distracted virtual world, right?

Downloading 'undistracted', a chrome extension, can play a huge role in your work, it escalates productivity and terminates much of the distractions (7/n)
Watching too many motivational videos multiple times can make you feel as if you have done your work for a moment, reduce it by a margin, better develop a behavioral pattern with constraints.

Enclose yourself to a handful of tasks till their execution (8/n)
Synchronize your pleasures with the execution of a task not when your task/work is running, it sucks your time like a black hole.

In other words, regulate your dopamine rush, use it as a reward when your work is done, instead of a distraction (9/n)
You will forget this thread after some days because of the rapid flood of information on the internet. The same may happen with your resolution.

Therefore, repeatedly see your goals, don't just forget and scroll (10/n)
Last but not least,

You see a wonderful tweet or thread, after reading that, you bookmark it and leave it at that, try reading those once again, you bookmarked it for a reason (n/n)
