Immigrants Healthcare workers have been the backbone of Irish Health System especially during COVID-19 Pandemic. They risk their lives and their families’ lives everyday. Many have lost their lives fighting this pandemic and others have lost their close family members.
They have been away from their families for a year now and some haven’t seen their families back home in 2 years.
”The pain of being away from their loved one’s is real and can only be relieved by seeing them or hugging them. They can’t fly home because they have commitment to
this country. They are giving their everything for this country”.

Recently France has acknowledged these sacrifices of immigrants healthcare workers and has granted them citizenship by fast tracking their applications(gave them citizenship after residing 3 years in the country)
Ireland has been very slow in recognising the work of these heros and except from few claps it hasn’t done anything for them. Now is the time to pay regards for these superheroes and reward them with something for their hard work.
They are demanding fast tracking of their
citizenship instead of keep them waiting for 9 years, this govt should consider this. This is the least this govt can do for them.
We,immigrants, love this country and want to stay here.We are the law abiding high tax payers people and we deserve some appreciation and motivation
like every other HCWs.
By healthcare workers I mean every frontline worker that includes nurses,HCA,cleaners, doctors etc
