Time to just spill out my thoughts on how things have been going recently

Let’s start with the obvious. Our form hasn’t been good enough

Let’s start with the obvious. Our form hasn’t been good enough
It is never ok to lose 3 of your last 4 matches in the premier league. I am hoping that this will be a good wake up call particularly for Chilwell who claimed we feel like we can’t lose before losing two on the bounce. There is never any room for complacency in top level football
While the performances as a whole haven’t been good enough there has been some misfortune along the way. In regards to injuries, hitting the post/crossbar, poor ref decisions. These happen to every club at some point or another. We were never going to be the finished product.
We are still in rebuild mode which is new for many Chelsea fans especially the younger generation. For the last half decade or so we have been very spoiled with winning no matter who was the manager so there are a lot of fans who don’t know how to handle the rebuild
We have to be realistic and understand that games are going to be lost. Performances are going to dip but that is football. No team plays their best football week in and week out. No player does either. No manager is perfect. SAF has made mistakes. Mourinho has made mistakes.
Pep has made mistakes. Klopp has made mistakes. Frank Lampard is in his 3rd year of management. Does he have things he needs to improve on? Absofreakinglutely. Are there things that go on behind the scenes that we don’t know about or we don’t take into account? Absolutely
The biggest criticism for Frank on my end is having Timo Werner on the wing over a natural winger such as CHO. But there are politics in football. In a perfect world players would play on merit and id argue that that is the case for this Chelsea side more than its been in years
But Timo Werner has made a big money move to the Chels. He was always going to play a lot no matter what he did. Frank has obviously tried everything to get him back in form. Putting him on the left blah blah blah it hasn’t worked up to this point
Werner needs to see the bench for a few matches especially because his attitude was not good in the arsenal match. If you aren’t having a good run of form the minimum that is expected is that you run the hard yards for the team and he failed in that yesterday
I don’t want to hear any of this nonsense of Frank playing him out of position. Frank is not in charge of Timo’s first touch and finishing. That’s what’s been letting him down. Hopefully him going to the bench will light a fire in him so he stops feeling sorry for himself
Timo I believe in you. You’ve shown you are a quality player but you’ve got to be better when your having a poor match. I’ve noticed that our midfield struggles against physical midfields. We don’t win many headers in the middle of the pitch (not with Havertz on the bench)
And we haven’t been winning many 50-50’s or loose ball in the past few matches. This may be down to fatigue but I don’t think the midfield trio of Kante Mount and Kovacic is physical enough. Rice is needed now and in the future doesn’t matter he needs to come to the club.
The players and Frank Lampard need to all be better but I don’t want to hear any of this talk about standards. You’d think the one person who knows about the standards of Chelsea Football Club would be the man who set the standards to what we are used to in his playing days.
Jose Mourinho who many including myself consider to be the best manager we’ve ever had said Frank Lampard is the best professional he’s ever coached. Do you know the players that Jose Mourinho has coached? You don’t think Frank Lampard has that same professionalism as before?
Watch post-match interviews of when our performances aren’t good enough and when we drop points. Listen to Lampard. He is usually spot on. It hurts him just as much as it hurts you and I to see the club not play well. He’s one of us for goodness sake.
Based on his playing career I know Lampard will be a success for Chelsea. People like him are destined for success in whatever they decide to do. Intelligent, hardworking, dedicated, loyal, good with the players. He has every trait needed to eventually become a top manager
Tactics this tactics that. Are we really going to sit here and act like we know more about the game of football than Frank Lampard or the other coaches at Chelsea? You really think he has no clue what he’s doing? You think Roman would have hired him if he wasn’t prepared for this
Roman would have never hired Frank if he was expecting short term gratification. That is not the way of Chelsea moving forward. That same style of mercenary managers that many on here want to get back to will lead us nowhere where we want to be.
Why have all these class player joined us and even more are linked with us? Because of the vision Frank Lampard is selling. You know why we didn’t sign Van Dijk? He knew that Conte wouldnt be there longer than 2 seasons. Players want stability. Not constant change.
Did us fans go a little overboard over the unbeaten streak? Of course. Do we go overboard when we lose? Of course. There are better days and not so better days ahead. Not everything is going to go how you want it to go.
The flip flopping is just getting unbelievable at this point in time. Have a little faith. The constant moaning does no good in any place except the bedroom so leave it there I beg. Frank Lampard gets Chelsea football club end of story. I’m tired of managers who come here for
Their personal gain. With Frank I can always be sure that he will put the club first no matter what. I wouldn’t be able to say that with some of the people you want to replace him with. At the end of the day we are still in a promising place
Great young squad who will improve with time along with the manager with them. No one is saying be ok with the performances but have some perspective with where we are at and what we are trying to achieve and know that Rome wasn’t built in a day
We will get back to the top. Frank Lampard will be the man to get us there I am sure of it. He has always been a champion and you don’t just lose that part of you. Back the players. Back the manager. This is Chelsea Football Club. If you don’t like it then go support elsewhere
