When I speak to young men, especially young black men, the tak is about celebrating excellence and lifting each other up.
It is not about tearing down but inspiring each other like how I am inspired by my colleagues and a lot of people here.

Achieving is not a sign of arrogance but a sign of sacrifice, dedication and hard work. I suspect that that is something we should promote and celebrate as Jamaicans.

I took the time to answer you as it reminds me of what young black men have been taught: that they should not celebrate excellence as to speak about themselves doing well is a sign of arrogance.
Many of have no role modes because they are silent, afraid of comments like yours.
